besides being busy over datelines from classwork, i'm having something else to draw my attention to recently. mom and dad has encouraged me to prepare for my 21st birthday party, and try to make it a big deal. apparently, 21st birthdays are very important to asians. i have no idea why though. well, they mentioned the idea some time before cny. and since then, i have been looking for the venue on and off. i never thought that time would just fly and just a while ago, i realised that i was running out of it. so i hurried down to the safra club in toapayoh and confirmed the function room for the party. after that, so many other things surfaced and required attention. deco, cake, invitations, clothes, music, entertainment, etc. fortunately, i have a group of really awesome friends from school who are engaging themselves to help me out. plus, this evening, mom and i went to settle the cake. so we're more or less almost there. since i planned events in the past, im overseeing the entire flow of my own party. but it's different. cause i really want the whole thing to work. yet, i can think of 101 ways how it'll be stuck on the actual day. i hope all these will turn out fine though. invites are almost all out, but i'm still waiting for several confirmations. so please, if you see this, send me a sms to confirm your attendence alright?
the party isnt till 2 weeks later, but i dont think i'll be ready to turn 21 anytime soon. i really dont like the idea of growing into adulthood. it just makes me sound too old. just sometime ago, i was digging through the dirt looking for earthworms for my science experiment in the backyard of my primary school and now, im stepping into this whole new environment. i hope i'll like the future.
