Ratatouille.
My Rating - 3.5/5

the plot was overall quite captivating. although pretty impossible, it kept us at the edge of our seats wanting to know how remy would finally become an incredible chef himself. however, it was a little disappointing when linguini simply succeeded his deceased father's culinary business. which means remy couldnt have fulfilled his dream if he didnt step into that restaurant or if he didnt get washed down the wrong path of the canal, or even still, if the old woman who falls asleep in front of gusteau's cooking theories couldnt fire a rifle. it was simply luck that got him where he was. and since he's a rat that can fantasises gusteau in conversation with him, its bizzare that he could end up in his idol's restaurant. i must admit that the audience will be awed at how remy can, as a pest, be someone he wants to, especially in the area of f&b where rats have a very distinctive image. so if the movie is about believing what you love, and having faith that you will succeed even though so many people dont give you their hopes, i think its clear. other than that, its just an ordinary animation that i think is more suitable for children. there is occasional use of amature french, but it isnt hard to figure out what theyre trying to bring across. so, as an opinion, it isnt a must-watch, but it'll be nice if you have the weekend off and need some motivation or a laugh.
